About imbali

Mission

Inspired by and true to the Montessori philosophy, Imbali aims to create a space that nurtures children’s individuality and spirit in which they are able to develop their strengths and work through their challenges. 

To integrate sustainability into every aspect of the schools functioning and through doing so, motivating children to engage in conscious learning about their inner and outer world. 

To build a community where openness and self-expression is valued, accepted and understood, and the environment is respected and used as a source of unlimited learning

Vision

To be an environment in which learning is loved, in which individual spirit is nurtured and children are accepted for who they are. To be a welcoming and safe space that fosters community, love and joy. To be sustainable in all aspects of the schools operation in a way that inspires children and all members to grow in themselves and be engaged consciously with the environment around them.

About Fleur

Background

Born in the Netherlands, Fleur arrived in Eswatini as a young child with her family in the 1980's. She was fortunate to grow and flourish in this magical land of learning until her late teens when she spread wings over seas. Returning back to the Kingdom to explore a passion for children in education.

Montessori

Her first introduction to the Montessori Method was in 2002, which set her on the path to gaining and learning experiences in this field. She has done extensive training in both the foundation and elementary phases, making her qualified to teach children from the ages of 2 and half to 12 years in the Montessori Method.

Experiences

Fleur has traveled and worked in many varied learning environments (mainly Montessori) around the world. It all began in Eswatini, and the road expanded to South Africa, Europe and the United Kingdom.

With all the experiences and knowledge gained Fleur is ready to share and hope to be a part of you and your child's journey.
